RESPONSIBLE & ETHICAL USE

Bias: AI can sometimes give unfair or one-sided information becasue it retrieves data created by humans. Sometimes we can make the mistake and stereotype or provide missing perspectives. AI may repeat those biases. Teachers and students should always review AI generated material to make sure it is respectful to all students and cultures.

Student Privacy: Teachers should never enter students' personal information into AI tools unless the tool has been approved by the school or parents of the student. This the best way to keep students' information safe and follows ethical and legal requirements.

Equitable Access: Not every student has access to technology or internet outside of school. Teachers should use AI in ways that give every student equal opportunity to learn. Non-AI options for assignments should be offered so all students can participate and succed.
